Furthermore, those of you who have already a big archive of multimedia CDs would probably not happy at the idea of "MoviX-ing" them all.
MoviX2 solves both problems: it is not made to be embedded with the movie in a CD but just to be loaded in a PC to transform it in a true MultiMedia Box, so after that you can extract from your CD/DVD-ROM the MoviX2 CD and insert & play every DVD/VCD/CD you have around.
So remember: MoviX2 is not an "improved" version of MoviX nor a replacement for it! It has a totally different philosophy behind, the mplayer binary is compiled with different options and it is used for different purposes.
The name is similar because anyway they are both related to Unix and movies :-)
The exponent on the X of MoviX2 is there to indicate that there are two Xs in MoviX2: one is the X of Unix and the other is the X of XFree86 :-)

Beschreibung: Die bis dato (222.08.07) neueste Version. Was ist neu bzw. hat sich verändert: Laut F.B. wurde das gesamte Admin-Modul umgeschrieben. Im Adminmenü wurde die Aufzählung von Einstellungen unterteilt in:
General | Themes | Users | Comments | Languages | Footer | Backend | Referers | Mailing | Others.
Die Einstellungen für "Graphic Security Check", "WYSIWYG Editor" und "$display_errors" wurden aus der config.php entfernt und können jetzt im Admin-Menü über Einstellungen an- oder abgeschaltet werden.
Außerdem wurde die Free Edition des Modules "AutoThemes fix" in PHPNuke eingebaut, die bei den AutoThemes-Themes von Vorteil ist. Weiterhin gibt es diverse Bugfixes.
Im Einzelnen:
- Settings administration module has been 100% re-writted and totaly changed and reorganized
- Added feature to let administrators choice if users can change themes or not (Administration -> Settings -> Themes)
- Added feature to select the display of the referers list in abridged or unabridged modes
- Graphic Security Check configuration is now in Administration -> Preferences -> General section (removed from config.php)

PHPPal vs. 0.2
Beschreibung: Paypal is bar far the cheapest way of receiving credit card funds for internet charges. Check out the prices of the others and you would be amazed at how much they charge to process YOUR money. Also Paypal has a built in system called IPN. This system automatically keeps track of subscriptions, there cost and the duration.
PHPPAL sits in between PHPNuke and paypal. When a customer wants to join your website their information is collected in the normal way, but before the user ID is finished PHPPAL routes the user to PayPal to process the subscription. Paypal then does all of the verification and sends the data back to PHPPAL. If everything is OK with the customers charge PHPPAL sets a flag to allow the customer access.
If the customer cancels his subscription, of the period of the subscription comes to end PayPal sends a command to PHPPAL and PHPPAL sets the flag disallowing access to the site.
As an administrator you still have full control over your members, you can easily change a customers status to allow for free access, as well as access an individual's payment history!

Jeder, der schon einmal probiert hat, für das PHPNuke ein ansprechendes Menü zu erstellen, wird sehen, dass eine Umsetzung der eigenen Ideen meisstens an der Technik scheitert, oder dass er so hart in den Quellcode eingreiffen muss, dass sich die Frage stellt, ob es sich rentiert, aber vor allem auch, ob danach das PHPNuke immer noch einwandfrei funktioniert.
Hier schafft das neuartige Navigationsmodul eine klare Erleichterung, sowohl für PHPNuke-Laien, als auch für die Profis, die bereits den Umgang mit dem System gewohnt sind.
Eigenschaften/Features: Erstellen Sie einfach Ihre Links über ein Formular im Adminbereich. Sie können einen Linktext, eine Linkurl, einen Linktitel (alt-tag) und sogar ein Bild (img) als Vorzeichen eingeben. Laden Sie Ihre eigenen Bilder (img) auf Ihren Webspace und Sie stehen Ihnen als Vorzeichen für Ihre Links zur Verfügung. Unterteilen Sie Ihre Navigationsstruktur in logische Blöcke indem Sie nur einen Linktext eingeben. Selbstverständlich können Sie auch für Ihre Ãœberschriften Bilder (img) verwenden.
