Introduction

Welcome to the free Nuke Affiliate Module README. The Nuke Affiliate Module allows you to take part in the Affiliate Window massive affiliate scheme which consists of hundreds of merchants (sellers) which sell a vast array of different things. The Affiliate Window scheme is free to join and can earn you generous commissions on a massive range of products. You can choose which sellers you wish to partner with on your website and their range of products will automatically be catalogued on your web site. This allows you to add thousands of products providing deep links to your affiliates within minutes.

Installation

1. Join the Affilate Window affiliate scheme which can be found at www.affiliatewindow.com
2. Request Shopping Channel support from Affiliate Window by following the IPS link on their site if you cannot find the link send an email to support@affiliatewindow.com requesting IPS support quoting your ID. This may take 1 working day to process.
3. On the Affiliate Window site you must login and join the merchants that you wish to partner with to get any products on your site. You do this under the Shop Window > Shopping Channel menu option, then go to View Shopping Channel merchants not joined. For each merchant whose products you wish to put onto your site you must select to join their scheme from this page.
4. Once you have joined all of the merchants that you require you need to click on Generate Dataset under the Shopping Channel menu on the affiliate window website.
5. Copy the contents of the modules directory into your nuke modules directory
6. Copy the contents of the block directory into your nuke blocks directory
7. Edit the file modules/awsoapclientconfig.inc.php with your favourite text editor and enter your affiliate window ID and password in the places indicated. You will also need to set your site root which is just the web address to your nuke root directory.
8. Set yourself up a Custom Content Unit at Affiliate Window and paste the resulting content group html into the the variable fronthtml. This will be set up the default products on the front page.
9. Activate the Nuke Shop module as documented in the nuke documenation.
10. Activate the Nuke Shop block as documented in the nuke documentation.
11. Test the site by visiting <Your Site Name.com>/modules.php?name=Nuke_Shop
12. Market your site. There are loads of ways to do this but in general the more traffic that you get to your site the more sales you will make and hence morecommissions. For a start add your site to google by visiting http://www.google.com/addurl.htm.Visit www.searchengineworld.com for some more great tips.
13. Monitor your newly found wealth on the affiliate window web site using their advance reporting system.
